Our Purpose

“…to make better men, and through them a broader and better agriculture…”

Mission

Alpha Gamma Rho is the only fraternity in Cornell’s interfraternity council that is both social and professional. we strongly believe in making better men through support in academic performance, social events, professional networking, and membership development events.

Alpha Gamma Rho was founded in 1904 at Ohio State University, and has since expanded to almost 70 campuses nationwide. AGR has historically been strictly an agricultural fraternity, but we have since expanded our membership to those people pursuing careers in agriculture, natural resources, life sciences and related fields. Cornell AGR, Zeta Chapter, was founded in 1914 in Ithaca, New York.
